Lemmy, Bowie, Rickman, and now Prince.
Four incredible folk who brought such happiness to so many. Outpouring of sadness and memories have taken over my news feed and news outlets.
Their loss is felt, but their loss is also a reminder to take a look around at all the incredible folk you have on your doorstep. Of how short life is.
In their own way, Lemmy, Bowie, Rickman and Prince all brought escape, happiness, joy, courage, creativity and so much more to so many people.
And as their families and friends mourn, we mourn with them. We feel the loss, too.
They gave us escape from our mundane. They gave us belief we could be anything. They gave us courage to be who we really are.
And now they have given us a reminder of how truly short life is. How we truly don’t know when it’s our time to say goodbye.
A friend posted the above picture. I gasped a little when I saw it. Alan Rickman went at 69. David Bowie at 69, Lemmy at 70 and Prince at 57.
The news of Bowie, Lemmy, Rickman and Prince passing at such young ages in such an awfully quick succession is reminder to everyone to do what you have to do.
Do it today, as you never know when your last tomorrow will be.
Alan Rickman: 1946 – 2016
David Bowie: 1947 – 2016
Lemmy: 1945 – 2015
Prince: 1958 – 2016
Rest In Peace
